Acceptance

By downloading or using RemotusTV, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Privacy & your data

Using RemotusTV also means accepting how we handle data, described in our Privacy Policy. In short: the app sends only the technical data a licence needs to work (essential, based on our contract) and — only if you consent — optional usage statistics that help us improve it. Usage statistics are optional and can be turned off at any time in the app; the essential licence data cannot, because it is required to provide the service.

License

RemotusTV is licensed for personal use. You may install and use it on your devices in line with the terms of the store or website you obtained it from. You may not resell or redistribute it, or attempt to pass it off as an official product of any TV manufacturer.

Free version & Pro

RemotusTV is free to download and use. An optional Pro upgrade unlocks extra features and is sold either through the Microsoft Store as in-app add-ons, or directly on this website: a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the Microsoft Store or by our payment provider, under their terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel them anytime through the provider you bought from. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase that includes future Pro features for the supported life of the app. Prices shown on this website are indicative; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout in your local currency. If your Pro access ends, the app simply returns to the free version — your themes, layouts and pairings are kept, not deleted.

Your license key

When you buy Pro directly on this website, your license key is delivered to your e-mail. The key is personal — please don't share, resell or publish it. You activate it in the app, and you can recover your key by e-mail at any time. Pro works offline for everyday use; to stay validated, the app needs to go online at least once about every 15 days, which it does automatically in the background. Pro is recognized either through your Microsoft Store entitlement or a signed license verified on your device; tampering with or misusing a license ends Pro access. Free trials, when offered, depend on where you buy — the Microsoft Store includes a 7-day trial on subscriptions, while purchases made directly on this site are charged at checkout.

Acceptable use

Use RemotusTV only with TVs you own or are authorized to control, and in line with applicable law. Don't use the app to interfere with networks or devices that aren't yours.

Compatibility & trademarks

RemotusTV is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. It is designed to work with compatible Samsung Smart TVs. “Samsung” is a trademark of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., used here only to describe compatibility.

No warranty

RemotusTV is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. TV compatibility can vary by model and firmware, and features such as voice control are experimental and may not always work.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, RemotusTV.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
